Weve gt a batch like 10 minutes away from their, when the swell picks up the waves arent too bad. Theres also a few other beaches quite close; Woolys bay and Sandys bay both mean surf beaches with some quite good skim spots. Grin

We went to Matapori this summer and it wasn't too flash for skimboarding.. Full tide it was just about waverideable.... Low tide is all good for shorestyle though.
